She says that for a small fee she
can guide me through my prior lives,
introduce me to former loves, let me
watch the battles in which I fought,
shield me from scenes of battle
in which I died or was wounded.
She says I will see many I now know
in my present, recognize how we
were once connected so our present
connections become logical and strong.
She says she can do this with my help
and her fee is not great given
the service that she offers, for who,
she notes, does not want to grasp
their history that has slipped into
the fog of time and the grave.
When I decline she pouts so I
add that I am certain we will intersect
again in another life and in that one
I will be glad to engage her services.
