WHERE AM I?

Wandering aimlessly through
the park, along a well trodden,
now well rutted trail, uncertain
where I was at that moment or
most any moment lately,
I came across a weathered sign
with what once might have been
a map but was now a dot with
the legend “You Are Here” which
settled one existential question.
I realized in that moment I
most likely wanted to be somewhere
other than Here, there perhaps.
But I could not ignore the wisdom
of the well weathered sign.
For no matter where I was
it would always be here, even
if it was there just a moment ago.
