We have now fully mastered
subjection, some say we have
done it so often it is now
inherent in our nature.
It is hard to argue that point
and we are now practicing it
on more than other groups,
we have turned our practice
on nature and her species.
Birds are a perfect example.
Applying our tried and true
methods we have slowly taken
their territory, forcing them onto
ever smaller patches of earth.
That is how we do it, you need
only ask the Native Americans.
And we have gone the next step
trying to take away their language,
whether deafening them with
the din of our existence, or
more recently appropriating
their language, for while birds
once twittered, their tweets then
sweet to our ears, we now claim
that tweets, ever longer, ever
nastier, are ours alone, and
we all know X marks that spot.
