This week I will be Presbyterian.
One week a month I become
a follower of a different faith
and it was Presbyterian’s turn.
I’m not certain what I will be
next month, Lutheran perhaps, or
maybe I’ll go with Episcopalian.
I haven’t been that in a while.
Most of the time I’m a practicing
Zen Buddhist, sitting daily
on my cushion looking at the wall
and that is the faith I need
so why will I be Presbyterian this week?
It’s a rather simple actually,
for although I don’t believe in heaven
or hell for that matter, I’d just
as soon have all my bases covered.
