You realize that it gets
tiring always being the one
who they try to blame
for all manner of sins
and flat-out mistakes.

I get the garden, but all
I did was show them the apple,
they decided to eat it despite
His warning, so how is that on me?

And do you know how hard
it was for the wife and I
to sneak on to the ark,
because clearly Noah wasn’t
giving us any invitation
to join him on the cruise.

And even Moses lucked out
thanks to me, assuming God
appointed him the leader,
when really God was pissed
off at me, tossed a bolt
of lightning but I dodged
and it hit the stupid bush.

So just leave me alone,
there are plenty of goats
you can easily blame for things.
