The problem, she says,
is that we think that windows are there
to look out of, to see the world outside.
If you believe that, she adds, why
do half the windows on your house
offer you a view of the house next door,
or if you must live in New York City
the windows of another apartment
or building, knowing they have
the similar view of your home.
Windows are only there to let
light in, although in large cities
if you crane your neck just right
and stick your head against
of out of the window, you can
see a small sliver of sky, so if
you really want to see nature out
your window, move to the country.
