he will be gone.

The old of us
will remember him,
some will mourn
his passing, sing
the songs that
were his gifts.

Many of the young
will wonder who
he was, a few will
recognize his name.

This is what happens
when the candle
of fame burns low
and the wick is
finally consumed.
