Just imagine that you would be immortal.
How would this affect your life, how would
you act differently, which relationships would
you end, which of those you have avoided
would you try to begin, or take up again,
Interesting thought isn’t it, easier than
the real question that hangs over all of us,
what would you do differently if you knew
that you were going to die tomorrow, who
would you want to be with you at the moment
of your death, who would you want
to keep away from your final moments.
You may think the latter is absurd, as
much so as the former but I suggest to you
that as remote as it seems, if you accept
the premise of its possibility and live
your life accordingly you will come
much closer to the eternal life that you
imagined when I offered you immortality
