Follow this alternative universe
bounded only by imagination
and such amount of logic as you choose,
and create the framework of a life
that never existed until that moment.
If you wish, pick another event,
and another until you have
a cosmos of lives, all you, yet
none lived, save in your imagination.
Rewrite a story if you like, a slight
variation can ripple through
your stories, each a wave that
can carry you off course
on an unimagined heading
for an island of possibility, or simply
go on with your life as you live it
and never think what might have been.
