Cities allow an anonymity
that few who have it
claim to want,
and those who cannot
find it only wish
to briefly have it.
Cities have mastered juxtaposition,
offering what is unwanted,
taking that which is.
But we choose to live
in cities, visit them,
for they are our sirens
and we are simple sailors
always looking for home.
