The world, I am willing to bet,
would be a far different place
if couples fully knew what to expect
before deciding to have their
first child, but hope springs
eternal so why not try and get it right
the second or third time around?
You have to wonder how many
two-or-more child families there would be
if parents were required to wait
at least 15 or 16 years after
the first before having another,
knowing fully what lay ahead.
And really, about the old “be fruitful
and multiply,” did anyone remind
the author that while he was urging
that, you can only divide an income
so many times before it runs out on you.
