So when you asked me which
superhero I would like to be
I would’ve thought you might
have narrowed it down
to the Marvel or DC universes,
or did you mean that I could
create my own superpower and persona?
All of this matters, of course, for any
person under 75 and male and many
females in that cohort as well
know the vast gulf between
the stability of DC Comics and
the fertile, often dark mind
of Stan Lee and the Universe he created.
But regardless of what you
intended but left unsaid, the answer
won’t be what you expected.
The burden of daily life in
our present world lays heavy enough
without the added weight
of expectations of others,
so none, no superhero at all
would be my final decision.
