Professional football is here again
the only real question is which
of us, and many of us shall
grow frustrated by our team,
will curse their ineptitude and
heaven forbid, write off
the rest of the season
and watch games based solely
on the quality of the teams playing.
Then there are the occasional ones
of us who are certain they are a jinx
and only glance at the score
of their team’s games and wish
they would perform as they promised
at the beginning of the season when
all thirty-two teams were certainly
Super Bowl or at least playoff bound.
